In 2026, KFFC evolved into the Montreal Asian Film Festival (MAFF), marking our transition into a media art platform encompassing film screenings, media art exhibitions, workshops, artist talks and networking milieu. 

Our 2026-2027 theme “TANGIBILITY: Soil, Body, Stories” invites us back to what can be touched, carried, and passed on in a world drifting toward the virtual.

🌍 Soil - our bond with the land, climate, care, and continuity

🤲🏼 Body - labor, memory, breath, and the truth held in hands and voices

📖 Stories - wisdom that lives beyond screens, shared from one generation to the next

We welcome narrative, documentary, experimental, animation, and media art, short and feature-length works that feel rooted, embodied, and alive.
